We had our special day on Friday 29th of September 2023 and our reception was in Talbot Hotel Clonmel.
From the start to finish the whole day was absolutely amazing.
The way the ballroom was set up was exceptional, from the sweet cart to the cake table to the memorial table absolutely everything was perfect and exactly how we wanted it.
We had been dealing with Laura Jones for a long time leading upto our special day and she had been nothing but amazing always there to help and offer any advice.
The amount of guests who commented on the food afterwards was amazing everyone said it was fabulous and they thoroughly enjoyed it.
So, on behalf on me and Finbarr we want to thank everyone at Talbot Hotel Clonmel who played a part in making our big day so special.
We would definitely recommend to our friends. Also, another guest of mine at our wedding said the food was so nice himself and his wife travelled back down the week later so a massive thank you to you all from The Hayes.

I was the best man for Niall and Aoife’s wedding on the 31st of March in your hotel. I am sure the happy couple will email you too, to just say a few words about the wedding and what I observed throughout the day.
I firstly just want to thank you and congratulate you on a job well done, from the second I arrived Laura made herself known to me and was there to help and support everyone involved on the day.
She was happy, smiley, and unflappable. No matter what was needed she was able to provide, even with a busy hotel and a lot of other people needing something from her.
I then met your receptionists, who were inundated with people trying to check in before the bride and groom arrived. Heather and Anjelika (apologies for the spelling) were absolutely brilliant so please pass on my thanks.
I then had the pleasure of meeting Stephen in the ballroom while Laura was explaining the speech plans etc. From then on, whatever we needed from Stephen we got. He was present, he was polite and extremely professional. Next, we got to meet our servers, all of which had smiles on their faces and were very professional. It is always nice to meet people who enjoy their jobs but also have a great ability to read the customers and there was some really pleasant banter between myself and some of the staff, in particular Erin, so please, again pass on my thanks. I also bought a beer at the bar in the ballroom before we all came in, the staff member who served me called me ‘sir’, as an ex-soldier I replied, ‘please don’t call me sir, I work for a living’ (joking of course) to which they replied what should I call you then, I said, call me Luke. The staff member whose name has slipped my mind, she has a tattoo on her hand, never once for the night forgot my name and consistently was pleasant towards me and all of my friends.
The entire experience was super. So professional and so pleasant. Thank you for that and pass on my thanks to everyone involved.

They went over and beyond our expectations, and left no stone unturned even down to the cherry blossom trees.
The reception we got when we arrived, right down to the food was excellent.
All our guests were saying how much they enjoyed the day, the food and even their rooms.
As for our room (suite) it was more than we could have imagined down to the bottle of champagne, strawberries and chocolates left there for us. The lovely Swans and Rose petals on the bed.

What can I possibly say to convey our thanks for the service we received.
From beginning to end you and the rest of the staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make our wedding a day we will never forget.
If we tried, there would not be a single fault we could find from the day, the food was second to none, as were every member of staff.
Both you and Mandy pulled out all of the stops for us. We didn't have to worry about anything as you had it covered. Katie made sure Conor and Anna wanted for nothing and Ger and another man (with an accent), who's name I didn't get, were absolute gents. A good number of guests commented that the barman was exceptional too, cool under pressure. All of the staff, bar none, could not do enough to help.
After all of the uncertainty over the last year, you gave us a day that we could only have dreamed of, so thank you for that.
During the day Conor said to me "of all the days I've ever had, this is the best one"... I think he summed it up well!
Talbot Hotel Clonmel gets a ten out of ten from us and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Everything was perfect. Food was great, we loved the extra portions of food that everyone was offered after main course. We heard guests talking about this saying it was great. Laura is an amazing wedding co-ordinator she goes out of her way to help couples months before the wedding, she was always there to help out with the planning of the way the day was going to run, helped contacting vendors and making sure everything was going to be right on the day.

There is no end to the amount of positives I could give about this hotel. We had our wedding here on September 14th 2018. Laura (The senior events co-Ordinator) met us on the first day and we were sold within minutes. We had viewed 8 other hotels, most of which had a their own grounds for photos, and yet within minutes we were sold. Laura made it clear that everything we wanted they would strive to provide. They took a package and edited it to our preference, adding in things that were not even on their lists and making all happen within a budget we were happy with.
Laura even arranged our band for us and they were amazing. Rebecca (also events co-ordinator) was involved with us from a few meetings in and both Laura and Rebecca made absolutely every effort together to make our day magic. They were both always on hand to give advice and did not rush any decision for us but made sure we still had them made on time.
The food was fantastic, the service efficient and timely, the hotels whole staff was superb to all of our guests.
If I had my time over again I would choose this hotel every time. It was beyond a 5 star service. We had rooms held for all of our 200 guests up until 2 months before the wedding which we were offered nowhere else. They fed us during every meeting. They were the only hotel where we felt concern about our satisfaction was the hotels first priority.

Myself and my husband had our wedding here in September and I can't fault a single thing! Laura Jones, Rebecca Coady and team were truly amazing to deal with! We had our civil ceremony here and the room was amazing, it was just beautiful and very emotional. We received 5 star quality and everything was exceptionally good from arrival to the civil ceremony, food, accommodation and much more. Absolutely unbelievable service was distributed throughout the whole day and night. We didn't have to worry about a single thing it was all taken care of. The staff and hotel are just amazing. So glad we choose the Clonmel Park Hotel for our wedding.

I'm so glad that we choose the Talbot Hotel Clonmel and all our guest and ourselves spoke very highly of the food and the hotel, it was a large wedding but that didn't make a difference to the food service or the bar service the staff managed so well we could not fault a single thing again amazing and thank you all.

My husband and I had an amazing day. We are still talking about it now. Laura and everyone who helped with our day did an amazing job, the food was amazing, the staff were courteous and were very helpful. Whenever I had a question or a weird request, they always went out of their way to help. I couldn't have asked for better people to help make our big day happen. I wish we could do it again.

The team that looked after our wedding and us personally on the day, beyond exceeded our expectations. They were professional as well as very friendly. If there were any issues or concerns on the day we weren't aware of it. They took care of everything. I couldn't have asked for the rooms to look any better than it did, particularly the room where we had our ceremony and then our meal it blew us away. Well done Deirdre and to all who helped her on that front. Laura and Tara who were always on hand to answer any queries or concerns that we had and of course to all the team who looked after us on the day ye were fantastic.
