Today is the day of the week that we like to highlight a member of our team members and today we want to introduce you to Dylan Herekwere 🌟

If you’ve ever popped into the bar for a morning coffee or a hearty breakfast, chances are you’ve been greeted by the warm, friendly smile of Dylan—a true star in our Food & Beverage team here at The Talbot Hotel Clonmel!

When we interviewed Dylan for this little slot this is what he had to say:

𝕋𝕖𝕝𝕝 𝕦𝕤 𝕒 𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕥𝕝𝕖 𝕒𝕓𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕤𝕖𝕝𝕗?

I am originally from Zimbabwe. I moved to Ireland in 2022 and started college in Waterford. A lot of people that I speak to cannot believe that I am here for such a short length of time, as it feels like I have been here forever!

𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕕𝕖𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕥𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥 𝕕𝕠 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕜 𝕚𝕟, 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕙𝕠𝕨 𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕘 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖?

I have been working at the hotel for 2 years now. I started in June 2023. I originally started on work experience, and I liked it so much that I applied for a position. I work in the hotels busy breakfast and as a barman during the day. 

𝕎𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕨𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕤𝕖𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕤𝕖𝕝𝕗 𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕟𝕖𝕩𝕥 𝟝 𝕪𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕤:

I am studying hospitality, so the goal is to work my way up the ladder within the hospitality industry and hopefully achieve my dream to work on cruise ships.

𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕕𝕠 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕝𝕠𝕧𝕖 𝕒𝕓𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕛𝕠𝕓?

I love meeting new people every day and meeting our regular customers who come in for a chat. I have great colleagues, and we get on so well I think I've made friends for life here. I am grateful for the experiences Talbot Hotel Clonmel have given me as this is the first hotel I've worked in, and they have taught me everything I know.

I love football and I am also an athlete where I love running. When at home I love chilling playing FIFA with my friends. 

𝕋𝕖𝕝𝕝 𝕦𝕤 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕨𝕖 𝕕𝕠𝕟’𝕥 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕒𝕓𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦?

I am a dancer but not many people know that about me. I may come across as quiet sometimes in work but I’m really an outgoing person and open to learning new things all the time. I love fashion and shopping online.
