💙 This evening, the Talbot Hotel Clonmel lit up in blue to mark Aphasia Awareness Month, and in particular #AphasiaAwarenessDay on Sunday, June 15th.
Aphasia is a language disorder that affects a person’s ability to communicate, often caused by a stroke. It’s an often-hidden disability, but tonight, we’re helping bring it into the light. 💡
Stroke survivor and advocate Martin Quinn reminds us that raising awareness is key:
“Aphasia can be considered a hidden disability, meaning it is important to bring it into the light, as we are doing with the light-up campaign.”
Let’s keep shining a light on aphasia and support those living with its challenges every day. 💬ðŸ§
