It’s official, Cahir Castle is Europe's Favourite Filming Location!!
Cahir Castle has won the European Film Commissions Network (EUFCN) Location Award for 2022.
Cahir Castle fought off competition from four other finalists to take the prize for Best European Filming Location, which was voted for by the public.
Cahir Castle has been used for a variety of filming productions over the years, including Excalibur, The Tudors, The Green Knight and more recently The Last Duel which was filmed in 2020. We are delighted to say that we have hosted all casts and crews (including the major celebrities) from these movies the last few years!
The win for Cahir Castle is likely to attract more attention from across the continent as tourists return to our shores this summer following the pandemic.
