The team from Talbot Fitness Clonmel which is part of the Talbot Hotel Clonmel were delighted recently to help bring awareness while also fundraise vital funds for ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’ with donations going to Breast Cancer Ireland.

Organised by Talbot Fitness - Assistant Leisure Centre Manager Sandra Quinn a.k.a ‘the Zumba Queen’, she was delighted to announce that €800 was raised from their fundraising activities.

When we spoke with Sandra, she said that ‘the fundraising idea of ‘𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐤’ is a global movement dedicated to raising funds for the fight against breast cancer. I'm delighted to combine my love of Zumba & having fun, while raising money for a good cause. We are so fortunate here at Talbot Fitness to have such a strong Zumba crew at class each week, so much that when we suggested doing this again this year that all the ladies came out in force to support such a great cause for which we are very grateful’.

Talbot Fitness Clonmel were delighted to have teamed up with Stephen Kearns from DJC Events for this event where Stephen also gave so willing of his time for this great cause.

Zumba is a fitness program that involves cardio and toning workouts using Latin inspired music along with music from around the world and Stephen made sure to keep those tunes going all evening!

With everyone proudly wearing pink for ‘𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐤’ an idea that comes from the pink ribbon which represents the courage to fight breast cancer, hope for the future, and the charitable goodness of people and who publicly support the breast cancer movement’.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is observed throughout the entire month of October each year.

During this time, individuals, healthcare, and nonprofits organizations, collaborate to raise awareness and promote breast cancer prevention and treatment.

This year's theme, “No one should face breast cancer alone,” serves as a reminder for providers to consider the many ways they can partner with patients and families in the prevention, detection, and treatment of breast cancer.

Well done to the team at Talbot Fitness Clonmel and all the supporting ladies for creating such awareness and raising such valuable funds!
